    Video now available...

Okay - so it took me a while (and turned out to be really simple) but I've figured out how to add video and audio to the blog site.  This will help me share it with all of you!

The current video was my first foray into digital video editing and I realize it  is cheesy, but - it was a start.  The video is dark because it is customary to turn out the lights before blowing out the candles!  (Doh!)

The next one I upload will be better - I hope.

Stay tuned - more to come...

A little shook - but safe...

Well, we "Didn't think it would happen here", but - apparently a young man at our girls high school was planing a shooting rampage.  Thanks be to God that it was revealed to authorities and they acted quickly.  The event was supposed to happen today or tomorrow but they captured the kid and he is now in a detention facility.

Rebecca kind of took it in stride (no surprise there) but Jenny was a bit shook.  It turns out that she had sat next to this kid in her Japanese class.  She said he seemed like a nice enough kid and didn't seem to be the kind to do anything like that.  A link to the news article from the local paper is HERE:

Please keep my girls in prayer - God has protected them (once again!) but they are still a bit shook...

    A little late coming home...

Well, I left the office on time (actually, a few minutes ahead of schedule) and traffic was fairly light.  Even taking that into consideration, I wound up being about 15 minutes late coming home... The reasons were two fold:

    1. My bike goes pretty fast - as the nice policeman pointed out when he pulled me over.  72 in a 60 zone.  He gave me a warning (which is why he is still the "Nice" policeman!) and sent me on my way...Except for number 2...
    2. My bike wouldn't start when I tried to leave.  I then needed to ask the nice policeman for a jump start... :-(

Despite all of this, he still didn't cite me for speeding.  In all honesty (and I believe he knows this) I wasn't blasting through traffic like it would seem.  The main flow of traffic was probably doing 70 - the extra "2" I had picked up was as I changed lanes to get towards my exit... When he pulled me over, he asked if I knew how fast I was going - and I was honest - I said I didn't and that I was trying to keep up with the flow.

The policeman was very polite and respectful - as was I - and I would have gladly taken the ticket had he written it.  If not for this instance, for one of the times that I got away with it! :-)

All in all, it was a good day...
